The Colonial Gable Coop gives backyard hens a proper home, built with the same pre-assembled, primed wall panels Little Cottage Co. uses on its sheds and playhouses rather than raw lumber. Raised 12 inches off the ground on stilts, it keeps birds dry and harder for predators to reach, while a full-height man door and four nesting bins make daily care and egg collection straightforward.

Highlights

  • One 14"x21" tempered-glass window for light and ventilation
  • Four nesting bins (12"x15"x12" each), sized for 6-8 hens
  • Wood floor with 4x4 treated runners included standard

As with the rest of the panelized line, siding and trim arrive already fastened to the wall panels, so assembly is mostly standing and securing finished sections — a manageable weekend project for two people. Shingles, drip-edge, and paint are supplied by the customer. For anyone serious about keeping a small backyard flock, it's a solid step up from a basic wire coop. A larger 6x8 size is also available.
