Where the Colonial Gable Coop uses a standard gable roof, the Gambrel Barn Coop swaps in a barn-style gambrel roofline for extra headroom above the same raised, predator-resistant base. It looks like a proper little barn rather than a box with a ramp, while keeping the same panelized, weekend-friendly build as the rest of the Little Cottage Co. coop line.

The taller gambrel roofline gives noticeably more usable headroom inside than a plain gable coop of the same footprint, which helps ventilation and makes cleaning easier since there's less stooping under a low ceiling. As with the rest of the panelized line, wall sections arrive pre-fastened and primed, so two people can typically finish assembly in a weekend. Shingles, drip-edge, and paint are supplied by the customer. A larger 6x8 size is also available.
